You gotta love the kind of stories that red necks can generate. It sounds like both will be ok, so thats good. But this is still pretty funny, be careful out there and for the love of god be on the look out for riding lawn mowers.
A Monroe man who was riding his lawn tractor to his mailbox on Nadeau Road was broadsided by a
Harley-Davidson
motorcycle as he crossed the road.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office traffic investigators have not determined who was at fault in the 4:20 p.m. Wednesday crash. The rider of the John
Deere
lawn tractor, Lester Cosby, 68, was taken to South Shore Hospital and the rider of the 1995 Harley-Davidson, Michael Rowe, was taken to the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo.
Both were listed in stable condition.
What traffic investigators know at this point is that Cosby was struck while in the eastbound lanes of Nadeau which has a posted speed of 45 m.p.h. Both men were ejected upon impact with Cosby landing on the south shoulder of the road and Rowe on the north shoulder.
Investigators ask that anyone with information about the crash contact them at 734-240-7551 or 734-240-7560.
