Default Had a small wreck today. PIX

I was on 441 and Belvedere going at a brisk pace (around 60ish) speed limit is 50 when a red beemer pulled out in front of me. I tried to stop but didnt realize my steering was moved slightly to the left. Bike slowed but went down after the front brake locked . Luckily didnt hit the car and i dont think he even realized what happened behind him and i couldnt remember his license plate number. Only damage was the rash to the bike, my knee and forearm. I picked it up and went home. Looks like i need a new stator cover, left fairing and upper fairing. The jacket, helmet and gloves saved my ass from serious injury big time. Of course the wife is really pissed and wants the bike gone completely so we'll see how that turns out. You might be seeing it posted for real cheap in the classifieds soon. The bike that is

Glad to see your ok man. Not too bad damage on the bike either. I had the same thing happen to me on 95 in rush hour traffic so it wasn't as fast but the same situation.

So what do you guys think is the CHEAPEST way to get it looking acceptable again? I know buying a OEM side and upper fairing will be pricey. How about just repainting the whole bike a solid black or red color and then putting the decals on separately? Money is kinda tight at the moment. I looked at painted/decaled aftermarket plastics on Ebay but then my tank will be completely different from the rest of the bike.

Check Ebay first. Busa plastics are very common, especially with that paint scheme.

I see em on ebay but none with my paint scheme. What if i pay someone to just paint the entire bike one solid color? It would probably still be less than a OEM side fairing (which is over 600) and a upper (over 200).

I love Jbyrd's paint scheme a lot but he did it himself. I bet it cost a fortune if i wanted someone to do mine like that
