Default Don't hate on the cruisers!!!

Ok...So here is my scooter....When she was stock....

Here is my scooter after I went nuts with the powdercoat and paint.

Now shit is getting changed again! I've been waiting for about a month on parts and I just got to Cocoa where my bike is and luckily most of the parts have arrived!

I love the height of the apes but the pullback and the width sucked so I got new bars. They are black Burly narrow 14" apes. I went 2" lower for comfort. The gloss black sucked so I sanded those down and shot them with BBQ grill paint which matches the powdercoat perfect.

The clutch cable rubbed on the engine case and had a small hole so a new cable got installed.

My '28 model A tail light and license frame are in...Just waiting to mount the wheels since it mounts on the axle...Don't feel like rewiring stuff.

The sideshot exhaust is now gone and I have a Vance and Hines short shot staggered exhaust....of COURSE without baffles and with black heat shields.

The wheels were ditched and ONE wheel is in (the rear), the other is getting laced up. They are DNA wheels, red hubs, red rim, and 60 stainless spokes. The front is a 21" X 2.15" and the rear is an 18" X 5.5". I couldn't find whitewalls in an 18" so I am just going blackwalls. Rear tire is a mild 180.

The air cleaner got tossed for a Harley Screaming Eagle filter and plate with a bargain bin old school filter cover painted flat black with red backing. (IT IS HOT!)

I think that is about it for right now. No pictures because I just test fit the rear wheel tonight and I am running the wires inside the bars now...and it is late! the only solid thing is the clutch cable is on...really waiting on the other wheel so I can move the bike around instead of having it on the lift all the time. I should have pics by the end of the week. It's going to look dead sexy when its done.

I have to order my lowering springs for the rear and the forks tomorrow to drop it a couple of inches then I should be good to go.

Thanks guys...I do miss the lil sportbike but this is so much fun to fiddle with. Hopefully the front wheel will get here tomorrow and I can test fit it and I will snap some pics. the paint on the bars is drying tonight and kittie litter is soaking up some clutch fluid! OOOPS!

As for the Victory, my buddy has a Cory Ness Hammer??? I think...It is a nice bike but way too much chrome for me. I hate cleaning chrome! It's not a bad scoot and comes with about a dozen more cu. in. The vrod...I dunno about that...The new muscle looks BLAH! To be "different", I wouldn't mind getting an XR1200. Those are hot little bikes for a Harley....

Mine will be "complete" soon...

Still have an eye out for a CHEAP sportbike to play with...Or an old bobber style critter.

Not sure if you guys do the same but bikers greet each other over here when riding.
I greet all bikers, even the scooters but i notice that Harley and Goldwing owners hardly greet back.
Things were the other way round when i had my Suzuki Intruder 1400 (i think it's called the Boulevard in the states), then the fast riders didn't greet me and the cruisers did, lol.

I like yours Kr1s, not a fan of apehangers though.
What other plans do you have with it?

Nice Harley Kris. I'm sure you're a hit in the hard core leather & chains, thick mustached, hairy, S&M gay community.

Bite me!

So....The saga continues....HARLEY HAS GONE METRIC!!! Yes, you heard right, the good ol Milwaukee iron has chosen the land of the rising sun as its parts supplier.

So here is the status Gladys! The rear wheel is on and looks SICK! The front wheel....Well, this is my second wheel that I have tried. The Street Bob apparently has a mid-glide front end. So what's a guy to do when he has a sexy wheel and doesn't want to wait weeks?! OHHHH Buy a wide glide triple tree setup that fits 49mm forks. Easy enough. But wait!!! The fork legs are for 25mm axles...WTF?!?! 2 years prior they were for 1".

Soooooo....I purchased new bearings for the wheels...got those in and had to order an axle kit for the front wheel because A. it is 25mm and B. the mid glide axle was too short.

The narrow apes are shorter and the wires are ran. The clutch cable and V&H short shots are installed...Have yet to wire up the '28 Model A tail light because that's the last of my worries. Axle should be here this week.

Oh....But I did a boo boo....

Ooops I did it again...
