Default Mounting GPS on Cycle

Just a few pics and info on how to mounting A GPS to your cycle. I used a Ram-mount complete kit #RAM-B-180U for the mount with RAM-HOL-GA24 for the cradle.

First install the (RAM-B-272U) RAM BASE W/ 9 MM HOLE AND 1" BALL on one of the clip-on bolts. Depending on height preference use either one.

Now attach (RAM-B-201U) RAM DOUBLE SOCKET ARM FOR 1" BAL to the base

Last step is to attach RAM-B-238U RAM 2 7/16" X 1 5/16" BASE W/ BALL to cradle with bolt and nuts provided and insert into RAM DOUBLE SOCKET ARM.

Done! Now go and enjoy your new toy. Just make sure not to play with it while riding. I'm sure there are other ways of mounting the GPS, but this was the easiest, fastest and most secure way I could find.

Parts list
-Honda CBR 954RR

-Garmin Nuvi 205

-RAM HOLDER GARMIN NUVI 200 250 #RAM-HOL-GA24U (Get cradle for whatever GPS you have.)

-RAM 9MM MOTO ANGL MNT W/ DIA BASE #RAM-B-180U (This complete kit includes the following items in case you want to switch out parts)
*RAM-B-201U RAM DOUBLE SOCKET ARM FOR 1" BALL
*RAM-B-238U RAM 2 7/16" X 1 5/16" BASE W/ BALL
*RAM-B-272U RAM BASE W/ 9 MM HOLE AND 1" BALL

I noticed a digital gear indicator. Did you have to calibrate it or is it simply plug & play?

Yeah the gear indicator does need to be calibrated but its easy as changing all gears at or below 2000 RPM. All you need is a rear stand.

Good write up. And yes...I always carry a few ziplocks in the tail for those rainy times!
