Hope this helps as well.. just trying to spread the information. For the record, the "I" stated herein is not myself, but another motorcycle enthusiast. The tools listed are not "all" needed but very helpful. the micrometer is a great aid, though for a thorough installation. Also, it is "recommended" to change the front and rear sprocket when changing the chain, but I'm not telling anyone what to do, i've done it both ways with no issues.. but I recommend inspection of the sprockets at a minimum. So here is the stock master link.
I wanted to grind down one of the pins so it would be easier on the tool to push out.
Installed the Motion Pro Jumbo Chain Tool, with the pin extraction adapter.
Extracted the pin by screwing the inner threaded piece in.
Removed the original link, and staged the replacement chain in place to be safety wired to the origianl chain so that the chain can be rolled off and the new chain rolled on.
Wired together
Used the chain puller to pull (more like hold) the chain together to install the new master link.
