Default Slip-on VS. Full exhaust?

As of now, I have a stainless steel Yoshi RS-5 on my '05 CBR 600rr. Sounds the best to me and I love it. I got a really good deal on a full RS-5 carbon fiber exhaust so I'm getting it in about two weeks. My question is...will there be a noticable amount of difference? I mean I figure carbon fiber is lighter than my regular crap and aftermarket exhaust has to be better than factory, but will I notice it? I also have, intake and sprocket...after full exhaust, is a power commander a must? Rumor mill was spitting out that it'd run too rich/lean. I don't see how playing wth exhaust will effect that, but I'm learning. Thanx for all input

well, Im not an expert but just thinking logically would tell you that an aftermarket exhaust has less restriction than a factory one therefore less back pressure to the engine.... you gonna lose some low end power.... for the average joe rider, it wont matter. will it be much lighter(the exhaust)? sure. but you wont physically feel it, youll just know it is. you want to add a PC to it? go for it, get it tuned properly for your style of riding.

theres a few in here that can give you actual advice on this.... I hope they see the thread and feel motivated to post.

good luck

Getting a power commander on a bike with a full exhaust is basically a must AND getting YOUR bike tuned properly for it using a good dyno. If not, you could actually lose HP. Using a generic map for your power commander may help a little but you won't be getting everything you can out of it because every bike is different. If you use someone else's map make sure it's a map that was done at sea level. And as far as seeing a difference, yes you will if you do it all properly.

i would def recommend a PC for all the mods you've done. it may run ok, but it might damage your engine in the long run if it is running too rich/lean. as far as the diff between slipon vs full system, you probably wont notice. full systems help out with high rpm performance. if you dont do track days, its not worth it imo. if you do get the PC and a custom tune, you will definitely feel a difference. my pc3 and a custom tune from AMR (shameless plug) is the best investment i've made on my bike.
