What would happen if we just pick a park, find a tree with shade, bring some coolers full of whatever and spend some time.
Without all the formalities of a shelter?

I have to check with the misses but we could do it at my ghetto house. It's a small house but it has a big yard, just watch out for the dog made potholes.

Friend had a bbq at Gulf Stream Park in Delray Beach a while back. free parking if i remember and they have small pavilions, bbq grills and beach access. pretty kickass park.

yup, it could be the best bet. as long as someone takes the initiative to scout a free park/shelter for the rest of the people to come and meet up.
