Default Cycle Gear rocking some good prices.

So I went in yesterday for some chain lube and left finishing my A* suit. I've had this suit for a bit now but due to constantly traveling, I can never find a time to wear it at a track day and with the deathly hot weather, I don't desire to wear it on a spirited run on Snake Road yet. And of course, I didn't have the boots or gloves for the suit...So I guess a multitude of reasons!

Anyway....I went to the Cycle Gear in Sunrise and picked up some Alpinestars SMX-Plus boots (in black) for $279 (regularly $349.95). They fit great and definitely offer a good amount of protection.

ALSO....Since I was just spending money, I figured I would pick up some gloves. I bought some Five Gloves RFX1 gauntlets for $99 that usually go for $159. Again...Awesome gloves and the fit is great. Takes a little getting used to the ring and pinkey together but I know why it's like that.

Took a nice sweaty ride from the house to downtown Miami today to go to the bank and try to break in my new toys. Definitely different riding with both items since the gloves limit over extension of the wrists and the boots keep your feet in one position. The closest thing I have worn to some race boots were Sidi street boots that were nice and stiff, although not as tall and definitely not as much boot as what's on the A*'s.

I got the same boots, once broken in they are pretty comfortable. The only bad thing is they can get a little squeaky when you are walking around.

Cycle Gear sales.

I picked up a pair of leather armored pants for $65 a couple of weeks ago.
Can't beat that!

Now if it would only cool off enough to wear them...

nice boots, but do you find them a little on the heavy side?
especially when compared to the Sidi Vertigo's

Well I'm an impulse buyer...I've had Sidi's riding shoes (can't remember the model) and they were like wearing little angel wings! LOL! But hell, I dunno!
