I saw that about a week ago over there. It happened here locally to a friend of mine. Luckily he only lost 1 fingertip. Same exactly thing!

damn and that's exactly how i clean my chain... rather how i used to clean it. wont try that shit again.

easy way to clean it. i would spray the chain with kerosene and hold a wire brush on it to clean it up while the wheel is turning. then i would hold a rag on the bottom of the chain to wipe up before lubing it.

i never put my fingers in the position where they would be dragged between the chain and the sprocket. always figured the worst that could happen is i let go of my brush and it gets chewed up.

brush...ok, maybe. your fingers are not in any position to get get caught in the chain. i'm still not going to try it.

but the rag is a bad idea. it must happen so quick, you don't have a chance to let go.
