Talking The lowest priced dealership in florida and you wont ever guess which one it is

As most of you know i worked for a short time at Broward Motorsports in west palm beach as a sleazy salesman. It was a fun job even though the pay wasnt all that but my coworkers were fairly good guys and we used to have lots of fun. Since i left i have gotten several pms and emails from people who are thinking about buying bikes and are trying to get the best deal on new units and where should they go. The answer... Its none of the places in south florida. Its a little place in Okeechobee called ARS powersports.

Over the time i spent in BMS we always managed to beat deals offered by other sofla dealers but it was pretty much impossible to do that when we competed with ARS and if i did get the deal i got a horribly low $50 "mini" commission.

The reason ARS pulls it off is because they are a tiny mom and pop place with only a few people working with very little overheads. Yes you can probably get a local dealer to match ARS' pricing but you will have to negotiate through hell to get it and it honestly isnt worth the headache imo.

Yes it will take you like an hour to get there but well worth it considering the money you will save. ARS is also the only place that will give you their no bull REAL out the door price over the phone instead of forcing you to come in to get numbers and get pressured to buy TODAY.

Take it from a former scumbag bike salesman. You will save money with them. And NO i dont work for them lol

In general regardless of which dealer you talk about dont trust online prices. When i was at BMS we used to do what we called "Teaser" prices. Say on our website we would advertise a 2008 cbr1k rr for 7999. So people walk in getting their hopes up thats what they would pay. But during the sale we added 539 for freight and another 589 for prep and also 199 for dealer fees. That amount is simply profit for the dealership because there is minimal prep involved on these jap bikes when they come in a crate. Always call and ask about the OTD price. If they arent willing to give you a number over the phone then its guaranteed they will fuck you over. I did it all the time

Why would you wanna trade their bike in? You can always find a sucker on craigs list to pay you more for the bike than youll ever get at a dealer. Why would any dealer bother taking your bike in if they cant make at least 1k on it when they sell it as is to another person. The only time we say that we will give you big bucks on your trade is when we can fuck you on the price of the new one you are getting to make up for it. Stick to a private seller

Hey at least im being honest. How many guys who have sold bikes told you the truth about the scam and how it works

I just want to clear up my guilty conscience of talking newbies with no riding experience and no motorcycle endorsements into buying 1000cc bikes just because they had big commissions on those bikes Its just at the time it didnt make a lot of sense to sell a ninja 250 and only make 100 bucks on it when i could talk a kid into a zx10 and make 400 or so. Although the sales managers force us into doing that because they want to sell the bikes that put the biggest amount of money in their pockets. From a business point of view you cant blame em for doing that but morally it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

None of them, because they are still selling bikes! I just think it's kinda fucked up that you invited everyone that was looking for a bike to go to BMS and now that you don't work there, you're opening up about "the dealership game".
I'm not bashing you, I know everybody needs to make a buck and I think we all pretty much know how the stealerships work.
