Default Vortex on the Kawi...YAY!

So I have jacked up priorities...No job but I figured the bike could use a new set of shorty adjustable levers because I have stubby hands. While I was at it, I figured why not get the rear sets.

I've had the Vortex goodies on my CBR600RR and loved them and knew the pegs for the rearsets would keep my feet planted. Well, the shift side went well. Unfortunately, for the 09 6R, the brake side has the master cylinder moved. (These were for 05-08..thought they'd work). So, since I mangled the packaging, I am pretty sure Palmetto Motorsports won't take the rearsets back so I have a call into Vortex to get a brake side heel plate.

The levers were a cinch. The clutch side though sucked because the clutch switch didn't fully disengage when the lever was pulled. It's a little plastic tip sticking out of the switch. So, I thought I could grind the lever mount down some but just took some snips and clipped off a little of the switches tip. If not, I would always have to start the bike in neutral.

So, took it for a quick jaunt around the neighborhood and all is well. Figured I would share.

Kris
