Default Can a 600cc spin the tire in 2nd?

So if you don't know me...I'm 5' 11" and 225lbs. I just changed out the levers on my scoot and adjusted the clutch to get the stock feeling back. I took the bike for some spirited riding just to check out the levers and such. Well, I was maybe going 30mph and in 2nd. I twisted the throttle pretty hard....the front end stayed down but it felt like the rear was spinning. Obviously I can just look under there....

Clutch engagement is fine. It engages and disengages just fine. So I guess my question is, with my weight and the tiny motor, would it be possible to spin the tire? I would think that the front would lift before the rear spun....

Bike has 700 miles on it and only mod is a slipon.

Kris

it's possible. Maybe something was on the ground. But under normal circumstances, it should pull the fromt wheel up unless you hit it hard

Yeah, I romped it pretty hard and took it to about 14k....I always had the wheel come up but never the rear spin. I may take a peek at the clutch again tomorrow.

even being on the paint lines on the road will cause it to slip.

second @30 = what?... 4k rpm?... hardly in the power band..... you shouldnt be spinning tires. atleast i dont think you could

unless there is an issue with traction (like what others said, sand , oil , paint line , semen)

on the f4... id be lucky to power wheelie it in second on a good day.

Yeah....The lever mount was made the clutch just a LITTLE loose after putting in the Vortex levers. It felt like the tire spun because the clutch was slipping Sniff sniff. A lil 600 just isn't big boy enough

get some more engine and bolt on work done and that thing will spin 1-2 and some of third. but then again the power isnt worth anything if you cant keep it down to the ground.
