Default Someone kill me...

School sucks. This professor doesn't help out. My course is IT Project Management and I have to perform a case study on a company and their IT project. I can't do too much since I work in a classified environment.

On top of that....trying to do my school work today, my computer apparently had a browser hijacker. I got to spend the past several hours getting rid of it. YAY. I just said screw it because I had tossed more stuff on it in the past few days but ended up doing a restore from Thursday. Thank God for backups.

NOWWWW....I am laying in bed with my 3 year old and my wife...watching America's Top Model. Sweet Lord! Can this day go any goofier?!?!

On the flip side, Pebbles is AWESOME right now.

how did you get rid of the browser hijacker?

how did you detect it?

your project is to go into an IT dept of a company and research their current project?

stop watching america's model. NOW.

You'll get your damned pictures! I'm never HOME!!!

As for my project...All of my work is classified...along with other folks I know in the business. Not like HIPPA classified but CLASSIFIED!

As for the damn malware...I noticed that when I would go to Google and search something...I would click on a result and some stupid crap would pop up. Sooo....after poking in the registry, I figured I would actually use an application. Trend Micro has HiJackThis which scans critical areas most common to bad guys. If you know what to look for, dump it.

I found a couple of things but they kept reappearing. So, I ran AdAware...Cleaned what I could. Then ran SpyBot Search and Destroy. Unfortunately, after cleaning everything and rebooting, the critter snuck back up.

Soooo....I did a Windows Restore from Thursday and everything was good to go. Good times!
